Cohen Institute

Graduate Programs:

To enter the Graduate Program of Cohen Institute, the student has to be active in ministry and have a Bachelor Degree. If the Bachelor Degree is not of a religious nature, the student must take twelve (9) pre-requisite Bible courses before entering the Graduate Program.  Those courses are offered at ICBT - St. Louis.

Each program at the graduate level is tailored for each student. Cohen Institute provides Percentile Testing for those students who feel that they have a vast knowledge of the Bible and can earn up to 15 credit hours.  In some cases Life credits can also be applied to the graduate program.

  • Theology
  • Ministry
  • Pastoral Studies
  • Missionology
  • Christian Counseling
  • Evangelism
  • Christian Education
  • Biblical Studies
  • and many more…
Percentile testing and evaluation is available through our Home Office.
The Masters and Doctorate program each require a total of sixty (60) credit hours.

An example of a program layout would consist of the following:

Master of Theology
  • 12 credits given from testing (if applicable—Percentile Testing)*
  • 12 credits given for Practicum
  • 1 course in Practical Application (3 credit hours)
  • 1 course in Bible Language (3 credit hours)
  • 1 course in Missions or Evangelism (3 credits)
  • 2 courses in Counseling or Leadership (6 credits)
  • 1 course in Bible (3 credits)
  • Thesis (50 pages minimum on an area of Theology (4 credits)

Balance of course requirements (14 credit hours) are to be taken in Theology, which is the area of the degree.

*If Percentile Testing has been completed at Undergraduate level no testing credits can be given at Graduate level. Credits must then be taken in coursework.
Doctor of Christian Counseling
  • 2 courses in Missions (6 credits)
  • 2 courses in Theology (6 credits)
  • 1 course in Administration (3 credits)
  • 2 courses in Bible (6 credits)
  • 1 course in Bible Language (4 credits)
  • 7 courses in Christian Counseling (21 credits)
  • Dissertation (125 pages minimum) (6 credits)
  • Practicum (8 credits)

Note: This is only an EXAMPLE of course tracks for Masters & Doctorate programs. It is NOT ironclad. Flexibility can and should be exercised.

Individual Program Layouts or Tracks are Highly Recommended!
